  • Born in Anderson, South Carolina

  • Married to Margaret Reese Rucker

  • Son- Jason E. Rucker, III, an Omega man, Captain in the United States Army stationed in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico

  • Daughter, Dawn C. Rucker, an English teacher, still residing in Anderson

  • Three grandchildren, two granddaughters, one eleven (11) years old and the other a sophomore at Clemson University; and a five-year old grandson.

  • Former high school teacher, middle school teacher, elementary school teacher, Principal at South Fant Elementary School for 15 years, Alternative school teacher, Interim assistant Elementary School Principal. Spent two years in the military stationed in Hawaii and served time in Southeast Asia prior to the Vietnam Crisis.

  • Enjoys traveling, most recently to England, and throughout the United States; collects lighthouses and has visited most on the east coast; walks almost daily for health and enjoyment; collects and runs many model trains; keeps a beautiful yard, builds and collects model cars and has an extensive collection of Hess vehicles.

  • Works in St. Paul Baptist Church as a Deacon, sings on two choirs, teaches Sunday school, Bible Study and Vacation Bible School and is First Vice President of the Congress of Christian Education.

  • Member of Mental Health Association, South Carolina State University Alumni Association and Master Mason Anderson Lodge Number 207.

  • Was initiated into the Phi Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Greenville, South Carolina in 1978

Since I am a charter member of Kappa Gamma Gamma Chapter, I have been a continuous part of its growth. I am pleased with our accomplishments. We have had difficult moments but we continue to grow and progress daily. It is because of the dedication of this brotherhood.
